Day 1 - 30 June - The first day was for setting up for the festivities, Chedi delivery and installation, and moving Downy's ashed from her house to the ceremony location in Tanya's front yard right next door. Photos are mostly in sequence of events but far from comprehensive as the photographer (Bob) was also involved in many of the activities, a co-host of the event and is not always an attentive photographer.
Day 2 - 1 July - This was the big day. Ten monks came in the morning and evening to pray and chant. One monk came at noon to give a sermon. Ten monks came in the evening to pry and chant. People came and went all day pay their respects, eat, pick up food and just visit.
Day 3 - 2 July - This was the day we put Downy's ashes in the chedi and sealed it up. After a ceremony we paraded the ashes out the gate at Tanya's house and over to Downy's house where the chedi is located. There was another ceremony before placing the ashes in the chedi. Literally the moment we sealed the chedi it started to rain hard after three days of perfect weather.
